Shaped with the community,
rooted in nature.
Have your say
on the next stage of
Ravensbourne Place.
We’re pleased to launch the second round of public consultation on our emerging plans for a new neighbourhood at Ravensbourne Place. This is your opportunity to explore the updated proposals, hear from Berkeley, and help shape the future of the site.
Our consultation will run 12–27 March, with a live webinar on Thursday 19 March, 7–8pm.
- Details on how to join the webinar and take part can be found on our Get Involved page.
- The virtual exhibition, with details of our updated plans, will be available on the Our Proposals page from the afternoon of 12 March.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts and continuing our work with the community to shape a shared vision for Ravensbourne Place.
Homes, nature, and community: together.
Ravensbourne Place is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a new neighbourhood that puts people and the environment side by side.
Our vision is simple: build the homes Bromley needs, protect and enhance the green spaces that make this area special, and bring the community closer together.
This is about opening up land that is largely currently closed off, creating new riverside parkland and walking routes, and designing a place where families can put down roots, neighbours can meet, and wildlife can thrive.
The UK is currently experiencing a severe housing crisis, and Bromley is no exception — with over 3,000 residents currently on the borough’s housing register and in need of a home. There is a demonstrable unmet need for housing in Bromley.
To address this growing challenge, the Greater London Authority has set a target to deliver 87,992 new homes each year across London, including 3,001 homes annually within the Borough of Bromley. Given the scale of local housing need, Bromley must look beyond its existing site allocations to identify sustainable opportunities for new housing delivery.
The Government’s recent “Grey Belt” policy now allows sites like Ravensbourne Place – which no longer fully serve the Green Belt purposes and are well connected to local services – to be considered for sensitive, sustainable development. This approach can help deliver much-needed homes, including 50% affordable housing, while respecting the area’s character and environment.
From affordable family homes to new community spaces, from orchards and allotments to safe paths and play areas, Ravensbourne Place will be a neighbourhood shaped by local voices and designed for the next generation.
This is growth that respects nature, supports existing residents, and offers a brighter future for everyone.
What we’re planning:

New homes for all
Around 2,200 new homes, 50% affordable, designed for families, first-time buyers, key workers and those with greater needs.
Helping local people stay in Bromley.

Green space you
can actually use
New parks, orchards and community allotments will open up areas that are currently fenced off.
Creating safe, welcoming spaces for walking, play and quiet reflection.

A new health centre
Delivering a broader range of community healthcare services under one roof.
Existing site plan and photography.
